drupal inserting a Views block into all nodes

Hello, could you please tell me how to insert a views block into the content of a node? I'm doing it like this:
I'm inserting the following code into node.tpl: $viewName = 'popular_articles';
print views_embed_view($popular_articles);
?> I clear the cache, and nothing happens..
