Issue with Views

I successfully created a block and a page to display news through views. Then I tried to create a view for a slideshow of photos. When saving, it says "An unexpected error occurred on the site. Please try again later."
When I select a region to display the block and save, all the formatting gets messed up and it also shows this error. I thought it was due to the type of slideshow, but when I tried to create a view similar to the news, I got the same error.
