SOS! Configuring IMCE permissions in Drupal 6

Hello, esteemed author of this site and Drupal 6 experts! I have encountered a problem... In general, I know that images can be uploaded to the server through IMCE and later placed on a node page. The issue is that the permissions for the folder site/default/files are set to 777, and the upload permissions in the IMCE module settings are enabled. However, for some unknown reason, the buttons to upload, delete, and resize simply do not appear =\\\ This is just a fail! What did I do wrong? What are the possible solutions? I followed the same approach as with other Drupal sites, and I have created over 100 such sites. I searched the internet and couldn't find anything similar. I'm at a loss for words.... How can I fix this?
